Canoe , Kayak or bicycles are all available to hire to explore the Dordogne river valley.
Day 2 may see you travel 25 minutes north to the world famous caves of Lascaux then to Montignac on the river Vézère follow the scenic river valley SW down to Les Eyzies taking in La Roque St. Christophe, Forte de Reignac and the lovely village of St. Leon. From Les Eyzies and its National Museum of Prehistory return to Sarlat (25 minutes) or visit Chateau Puymartin on the way.
Another day may see you go east to the gardens of Eyrignac Manor or Stunning clifftop village of Rocamadour or take a boat trip in the iconic cave network of Le Gouffe de Padirac.
The Wed and Saturday Market in Sarlat are not to be missed, just 80 metres from the Parc Place.
